Festive spirit alive and well at Tiglin with Santa visit by air

-

FESTIVE SPIRITS were high as the season of good will to all mankind was evident and in full flow at Tiglin, Ashford.

The Christmas celebrations kicked off with the residents families coming to the Tiglin facilities to meet their loved ones and welcome Santa Claus, who arrived in style by helicopter rather than by a reindeer led sleigh, to shower his generosity on the children who had gathered. The excitement was tangible as he came into land to the sound of Jingle Bells bellowing out from the waiting crowd.

The festivities continued throughout the Christmas week but was highlighted by the help of some notable celebrities who rowed in with their support.

Christmas Eve kicked off with Tiglin’s No Bucks Cafe’s annual homeless outreach in Dublin City, joined by Ronan Keating who led a large crowd of gathered on lookers and supporters in Classics such as The ‘Fairy Tale of New York’ and ‘Feed the World’.

The Christmas Day celebrations launched into action with Tiglin residents taking a Christmas dip in the sea at Greystones followed by a massive spread put on by the excessively generous Bochelli’s restaurant in Greystones.

Declan McLoughlin from Bochelli’s, along with his family, friends, and joined by none other than Katie Taylor, went all out to spread their Christmassy love to not just Tiglin’s residents but also to service users of the Five Loaves in Bray.
