An overwhelming show of generosity from everyone who attended, supported and donated towards the Charity Banter Match in Lamberton on Sunday the 15th of January helped to raise an amazing sum of €1,459.70, all of which Arklow Cancer Support Group were the worthy recipients of.

In what proved to be a fantastic day for everyone concerned, players and spectators alike, it is easy to see how this event keeps getting bigger and better each year. Special thanks must go to our committee members John Scanlon and Joe Byrne who have organised this event for the past four years.

Arklow Town FC were very proud once again to host this annual event... thank you to everyone who came along to support.

Last weekend saw many of our WDSL teams back playing in competitive fixtures following the Christmas break. Our U15B team met with Wolfe Tone FC and walked away comfortable 2-1 winners, goalscorers for Town on the day were Robbie Fowler and Shane Browne.

Our U8, U9 White and U9 Black teams travelled to Allen Park in Aughrim over the weekend to take part in the WDSL Futsal finals and we are very proud to announce that, out of 36 teams that took part, our U9 Black Team were the outright winners of the tournament and our U9 White Team came third. This is a fantastic achievement for both teams. Well done!

Our WDFL Youths Team came out 3-2 winners over Avonmore at home on Saturday. Goals from Clive Keenan, Ryan Fowler and a late free kick from Matas Lubosevicous sealed the win. It was a tough encounter with Arklow soaking up a lot of pressure in the second half and with no subs to bring on twenty minutes from the end for an injured town player made it backs to the stuff but the lads rallied for a deserved three points.

Our Little Astros Club continues every Saturday at 10am until 11am in Bridgewater Centre Park. Catering for boys and girls aged between four and seven years old, it is a fun introduction to football which is thoroughly enjoyed by all who attend.

This Club, held weekly on Saturday mornings on our state of the art astro facility, is overlooked by fully qualified coaches in a very safe and secure environment and is completely free of charge.

If your child has expressed an interest in playing football, do bring them along any Saturday morning where they will be welcomed by our wonderful team of coaches.

Our weekly Bingo takes place every Thursday night at 8.30pm in our main clubhouse in Lamberton.. do come along for a great evening, with plenty of cash prizes on offer.
