CONGRATULATIONS to those who qualified for the INTO Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Skills competition and will play during half-time in the All-Ireland series in Croke Park in the summer. We would be obliged if teachers would contact Rúnaí Sinéad Ní Chréan Loinsigh with details as per email that has been sent out to schools as soon as possible. We hope all participants enjoy their day in the summer.
Credit Union Cup - The Credit Union Cup Allianz Cumann na mBunscol hurling competition took place in Bray Emmets GAA Club on Wednesday, May 3. It was nine-a-side and a good day was had by all. Detailed report to follow next week.
Allianz Camogie Blitz - There will be a camogie blitz on Wednesday, May 10. The primary focus of this blitz is participation and getting as many girls involved in playing camogie as possible, regardless of ability. It is a nine a side competition and there is no age limit on the children who are participating. Due to a mix up in bookings the blitz will take place in Bray Emmets at the earlier time of 11am. Please let Fiona Ní Shúilleabháin, Camogie Officer, know by email (fiona.nishuilleabhain3@mail.dcu. ie) or text (086 3748903) if you can attend, and how many teams you will be bringing, by Monday, May 8, at the latest. Sports Day Information and Registration - This year’s Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Sports Day will take place in Charlesland Sports and Recreation Park, Greystones on Wednesday, June 7, at 10 a.m. sharp. The entry fee of €50 must be returned at a meeting which will take place in Newtown Primary School on Thursday, June 1, at 8 p.m.

West Wicklow nine-a-side girls football development blitz (no age limit) west section. Venue: Donard, May 19 from 11.00am.
Hurling Fixtures - Other blitzes that are coming up during the year are for both boys and girls, 11-a-side. All blitzes from 11am to 12.30pm on June 14 in Ballinakill. There will be third/fourth class primary schools blitzes as follows for 2017. All blitz’ are for both boys and girls, nine-a-side and run from 11am to 12.30pm on May 24 in Ballinakill. Please make a note of all dates and confirm with Jonathon Tallon, Wicklow Hurling GDA, on 083 364 5136 at least one week prior the blitz date. A reminder will be sent before each blitz.
