causing Wexford problems. This culminated in the first goal of the game coming from some good wide play from Conor Clinton on the left beating the Wexford full back and getting to the by-line and letting in a cross, this caused all sorts of confusion in the Wexford box with the ball falling to Dylan Cummins to slot home. Wexford responded within 10 minutes to make the game level going in at half-time.

The second half started off at a high tempo from both teams. Wicklow restored their lead after seven minutes of the second half when Eoin Doyle found himself in the Wexford area and finished to the right of the Wexford goalkeeper.

Wexford got back in to the game quickly and had scored two goals without reply within 10 minutes of Wicklow taking the lead. Going in to the last 20 minutes Wicklow found themselves trailing 2-3.

With 10 minutes remaining in the game and the score line still favouring Wexford, Wicklow came to life again and scored two goals within a two minute period.

First to score was Ben Free when he received the ball on the right wing and cut inside the left back and from the edge of the box released a shoot that the Wexford keeper wasn’t able to get near.

Then almost straight away Wicklow attacked down the right again and let in a beautiful cross for Ross Quinn to meet with a diving header. 4-3 up with five minutes to go, Wexford pressed forward looking to equalise and did so with only a couple of minutes remaining.

With the game level at was down to penalties to decide the result, Wicklow came out on top with the scorers: Josh Odlum, Samuel Bishop, Stephen Kearns, Eoin Doyle and Ryan Delamere-Hanlon. There were two great saves in the shoot out from Andrew Nolan
