COMMUNITY GAMES

Athletics training continues every Monday. It’s only three weeks till Shillelagh so keep practising.

The art and handwriting competition takes place next Sunday, May 28, in Dunlavin national school. Check in for art is 1.45 for 2 p.m. start and 2.45 for 3 p.m. start for handwriting. Good luck to all the children taken part.

We also wish the children of Annacurra National School a great day for their Confirmation.

INFO FOR PARENTS

Wicklow County Childcare Committee are holding a free information session for parents of children who may need additional supports in preschool. There are supports available under the Access and Inclusion Measure (AIM). The information session will take place on June 7 in Tinahely Community Pre-school from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. To book a place or for further information please contact Judy at 0404 64455 or judy@ wccc.ie.

PARISH FIELD DAY

The field day will take place on Sunday, June 18, at 2 p.m. at the GAA pitch. We hope to have all the usual attractions, stalls and events. If those who help running the field day would get in touch with FR. Sheridan or a member of the parish council in the next few weeks. New volunteers are always welcome and would be very much appreciated. Tickets are now on for parish summer draw. Please support. €5 per book

GAA LOTTO

Results for May 15: no jackpot winner. Numbers drawn were 1, 9, 10 and 15. Match-three winners; John Sweeney, Annacurra; Mary Carty, Preban; May and Doug, Aughrim. Jackpot stands at €5,350. Draw held in Saltee on Monday night.

PENTECOST SUNDAY

Come celebrate with us on Sunday, June 4, for a special Mass to mark the feast of Pentecost in St Kevin’s Church, Kilaveney, Tinahely at 11 a.m. Pentecost Sunday is a day of Special Prayer to celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit and the birthday of the church.
