Valleymount 2-16, Enniskerry 0-9 - A flattering but deserved win for the Lakesiders in glorious sunshine in Valleymount on Sunday morning. Enniskerry made the early running and surged into a 0-4 to 0-1 after 15 minutes but the locals responded to lead 0-9 to 0-4 at the break.

The second half became a tale of goal chances taken by the homesters and missed by the visitors and this was the difference in the end. Scores for Enniskerry were shared by Gavin Barton, Alan King, Rhys

Cope and Brendan Barton. Best on the day for a Black and Amber side who never gave up were Paul Kavanagh in goals, James Moloney, Dan Kelly, Gavin Barton and Alan King.

The girls made the short trip south to Eire Og, Greystones last Thursday evening. The heat, hard ground and tough Greystones side made sure the girls had to fight till the end to secure a win. The final score 4-11 to 3-10. An all-round strong performance from the team with the two Sophie’s, Lauren O’Sullivan, Jamie Curran and Paris Flynn having a great game.

Commiserations to Tara Dowling Costello and her Wicklow team mates in their loss to Wexford in the championship on Saturday afternoon.

Two great wins for our Juvenile teams last Wednesday evening. Our U11s had a fantastic 3-13 to 2-4 win over St. Pats Wicklow in Kilgarron, and the Clan na Gael U15s ground out an 0-8 to 0-3 win over Kilquade Gaels in Kilcoole. Well done to both teams!
