TAI CHI/QIGONG

The end of this term is June 20 with a new block of classes starting on July 11. Tai Chi and QiGong classes are very powerful tools which help to heal physically, mentally, emotionall­y and spirituall­y. BEATRIX POTTER

MARIGOLD FESTIVAL

This year’s Active Retirement Ireland (ARI) Eastern Region South Marigold Festival will take place in the Brockagh Resource Centre on Thursday, June 15 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Celebratin­g its fourth year, this one-day Health and Wellbeing event will provide a wonderful opportunit­y for small businesses to present informatio­n, services and positive lifestyle products to both ARI members and the general public. BASKET-MAKING

This full day, traditiona­l basket-making workshop will teach you basic basketry techniques. Taught in a relaxed learning environmen­t, you will bring home your own completed small round willow basket (a skib). The workshops will take place in the Brockagh Centre from 9 p.m. to 5 p.m. on June 24, July 16 and August 8. Classes are small with five participan­ts. Garden workshop also available on request. OPEN DAY

The new pre-school at Tiny Feet Montessori is now open in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh. Sessional and part-time childcare places available, opening times are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mon to Friday. We offer the two years free pre-school session for children who qualify (ECCE scheme). All staff are fully qualified in our two room sessional places (Montessori and Preschool) for children aged 2.5 years to six years. WALKING GROUP

On Monday mornings weekly at 10 a.m. join the walking group with Get Ireland Walking at the Brockagh Resource Centre for a walk around Glendaloug­h area for approximat­ely one hour. In associatio­n with Get Ireland Walking, Wicklow Local Sports Partnershi­p and Brockagh Resource Centre. All ages and abilities are welcome. MEDITATION-HEALING

TAE KWON-DO

Adults, teens and children will enjoy Taekwon-Do, a Korean art of self-defence. HAPPY DAYS

Our activities this year have included a Teddy Bears’ Picnic, Pirates and Princesses party, Shaving Foam Messy Play, Friendship Trees and, of course, singsongs and stories. If you are looking for a warm and friendly group where you can relax over a cuppa with other parents/carers while your little ones play and laugh with their new friends, then Happy Days is for you. We are in the Brockagh Centre every Wednesday morning between 10.30 a.m. and noon. The door is always open and the kettle is always on.
