-

The Gorey Agricultural Show continues to grow from strength to strength and this year the show will be even easier to enter with the introduction of a new and improved Website and Online Entry System. Now in its 158th year, this local gem will be back in Clonattin on Saturday 17 th June.

Last year over 10,000 attended the event with over 1000 entries across a variety of competition classes including show jumping, pony games, indoor craft competitions & cattle classes. This year entrants will have the opportunity to make the entry process far easier by visiting the new Gorey Agricultural Show website and selecting the online entry process. Of course, Gorey Agricultural Show is about more than competition and is a vibrant, community show. A day out at this fun filled family event is essential this summer and there is so much on offer to appeal to all age groups including: pet’s corner, the dog show and agility course, machinery demonstrations, garden centre stands, baking competitions and lots more. The schedule for competitions is now online at www.goreyagricuturalshow.com, and whether you are a competitor or a budding entrepreneur this is your first stop for information.

Wright Insurance Brokers is entering the fourth year as the main sponsor of the Gorey Agricultural Show and is a long-standing supporter and committed partner of the show. Mary French, Group Marketing Manager at Wright Insurance Brokers said: ‘Our team is counting down the days to the annual Gorey Agricultural Show. As a Wexford business we are rooted in the community and everyone enjoys the opportunity to catch up with customers and to get to know the locality. Each year we never fail to be impressed by the organising committee and local businesses who invest so much personal time to ensure this show is a success.’

The Wright Insurance Brokers team will be located in the main tent in the middle of the show grounds and will host kid’s entertainment throughout the afternoon. This will include face-painting, crafting and balloon sculpting in addition to the hugely popular puppet shows performed by Red Moon Theatre.
