GYMKHANA.

The annual Gymkhana and field day will be held on Sunday, August 27, in Coolgreany Village. We are looking for volunteers to help with various aspects of the show. If anyone would like to join our committee please contact Declan Finn at 086 2437343.

TIDY TOWNS.

The Tidy Towns Committee are putting in a huge effort to get the village into the best possible way for the upcoming adjudicati­on in the Tidy Towns competitio­n.

The committee are seeking a big effort from everyone in their efforts to give the village a huge lift for the adjudicati­on of the Keep Wexford Beautiful Competitio­n which will be adjudicate­d over the month of July, if you have an hour to spare please come out and give this hardworkin­g group a hand in their approach to making a big impression on the adjudicato­rs for this competitio­n also.

MAY BYRNE HOUSE.

The recently newly refurbishe­d May Byrne Community House is now available for all new groups who wish to avail of same. They refurbishi­ng means a lot more space for meetings both downstairs, and also upstairs which has Projector Facilities and a White Board for Presentati­ons, there is also beautiful new kitchen facilities with lots of apace.

BALLYFAD PATRON.

Ballyfad was blessed with a beautiful sunny day for their annual patron which took place in the cemetery on last Sunday, where Rev Fr Denis Browne presided and blessed the graves and prayed for all members of the community who are buried in Ballyfad cemetery.

BIRTHDAYS.

Congratula­tions to Jack Robert Hughes Ballylacey, who celebrated his ninth birthday on last Sunday, July 16. Also birthday greetings to Nadine Roche Thomastown, who celebrated her birthday on last Monday, July 17.
