That time of the year again. Our AGM takes place on Thursday, October 12, at 8.30 in the Aughrim Community Sports and Leisure Associatio­n. Please come along even to listen to what Community Games is about and to offer an opinion.

First night back and a new year begins. Great to see over 70 children ? adults. Coaches and volunteers involved this evening.

More help always appreciate­d and remember Transition Students very welcome to do their An Gaisce Award with the club, every Monday 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

GAA LOTTO

results for September 18. No jackpot winner. Numbers drawn were 18, 19, 22 and 27 matchthree winners; Brendan Barnes, Aughrim and Máire Carey, Clone. Jackpot next week €8.0€50. Draw held in Saltee on Monday night.

HALLOWEEN AT COOLATTIN

In an exciting joint venture between the Coolattin House Committee and the South Wicklow Drama Festival Committee Coolattin House will be open on Saturday and Sunday, October 28 and 29, for halloween tours for both adults and children. Tours will take place for children age six years and upwards from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The children’s guided tour of the house and grounds will include storytelli­ng and a Puppet Show and will cost just €10 per person with face painting for Halloween an optional extra. All Children must be accompanie­d by an adult. Adult Guided Tours will take place from 8.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

All visitors will have an opportunit­y to check out the nooks and crannies and experience the hidden secrets of the house and to meet some of the fascinatin­g characters who are coming along to bring the house to life for this one spooktacul­ar weekend.

Adults will have an added extra on the Sunday night with Dracula’s Ball taking place from 10 till late on the Sunday night. We would encourage people to get into the spirit of the occasion and come to Dracula’s Ball in Fancy Dress, but of course this is purely optional. There will be a prize for the best dressed.

Adult Tour: €10 – Dracula’s Ball: €10 and adults can go on tour and attend the ball for just €15. Booking (Essential) Open October 1 (Watch this space for booking details)
