Jac­inta Crow­ley-Long is a lead­ing pro­fes­sional Ir­ish pain­ter of ca­nine, eques­trian and land­scape paint­ings. Most of her land­scape sub­jects are found in the, fields and hills on the Wick­low Way near where she lives. Ex­hi­bi­tion runs un­til Fri­day, De­cem­ber 15, from 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wed­nes­days to Satur­days. Tal­ented lo­cal stu­dents, aged eight to 18, and their singing teacher will per­form a va­ri­ety of pop, mu­si­cals, rock and jazz clas­sics. The con­cert will fea­ture Liam An­drews, Isi­béal Boy­lan, Nina Braswell, Grainne Bright, Gemma Clarke, Sad­hbh Con­don, Sive Cu­sack, Emma Devine, Ni­amh Dug­gan, James Fen­nell, Juli­ette Kidd, Kristina Kidd, Roisin Lynch, Jack Mo­han, Eleanor O’Kelly, Caragh O’Neill, Jes­sica O’Neill, Shan­non Rus­sell, Tiarnán Shortt, Gráinne Shortt, Xara Smal and Ellie Walsh. Doors open at 4.30 p.m. Tick­ets cost €15 for adults and €5 for chil­dren and are avail­able from the Whale The­atre. Grey­stones Play­ers present ‘Con­nec­tions’ – a di­verse and en­ter­tain­ing evening of four one-act plays, ex­plor­ing vari­a­tions on love, re­la­tion­ships and our ex­pec­ta­tions of the­atre. The pro­gramme in­cludes While the Auto Waits, adapted from O. Henry’s short story by Wal­ter Wykes; Sure Thing by David Ives; the amus­ing and poignant Post-Its by Paul Doo­ley and Win­nie Holz­man; and Au­di­ence, Michael Frayn’s clever and comic ex­am­i­na­tion of the na­ture of the­atre.
