Jacinta Crowley-Long is a leading professional Irish painter of canine, equestrian and landscape paintings. Most of her landscape subjects are found in the, fields and hills on the Wicklow Way near where she lives. Exhibition runs until Friday, December 15, from 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesdays to Saturdays. Talented local students, aged eight to 18, and their singing teacher will perform a variety of pop, musicals, rock and jazz classics. The concert will feature Liam Andrews, Isibéal Boylan, Nina Braswell, Grainne Bright, Gemma Clarke, Sadhbh Condon, Sive Cusack, Emma Devine, Niamh Duggan, James Fennell, Juliette Kidd, Kristina Kidd, Roisin Lynch, Jack Mohan, Eleanor O’Kelly, Caragh O’Neill, Jessica O’Neill, Shannon Russell, Tiarnán Shortt, Gráinne Shortt, Xara Smal and Ellie Walsh. Doors open at 4.30 p.m. Tickets cost €15 for adults and €5 for children and are available from the Whale Theatre. Greystones Players present ‘Connections’ – a diverse and entertaining evening of four one-act plays, exploring variations on love, relationships and our expectations of theatre. The programme includes While the Auto Waits, adapted from O. Henry’s short story by Walter Wykes; Sure Thing by David Ives; the amusing and poignant Post-Its by Paul Dooley and Winnie Holzman; and Audience, Michael Frayn’s clever and comic examination of the nature of theatre.
