-

A 23-year-old from Bray was banned from driving for three years and fined a total of €650 at Bray District Court.

Dominick Coster, 19 Kilbride Grove, Bray, appeared before the court facing charges of driving without a licence, failure to produce a licence, failure to produce an NCT certificate, no insurance, failure to produce insurance, non display of a disc, using a vehicle without an NCT and exceeding the local speed limit.

The charges were all from May 4, 2017, on the R774 Farrankelly Road, Delgany.

Defence solicitor, Brendan Maloney, said at the time the offences were committed his client ‘was going through’ some personal turmoil.

He had fallen out with his family and was going through hard times. He has since re-established contact with his family only this week and they are considering letting him back into the house ‘on the condition that he behaves himself.’

Mr Coster was disqualified from driving for three years and fined €250 for the no insurance charge.

He was fined a further €250 for having no licence and €150 for speeding. All the other charges were taken into consideration.
