CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT
Avoca Community Hall are hosting a ‘Carols By Candlelight’ concert featuring Anthony Norton and the Avoca Valley Singers on Saturday, December 16, at 8 p.m. Tickets €10 and are available from the Community Hall and other outlets. SHOEBOX APPEAL
Closing Date to get your finished shoeboxes back to us has been extended to Thursday, November 16 at 4 p.m. Like to give a little joy and love to a needy child this Christmas? Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal gift does just that. We here at the Avoca Courthouse are hoping to get a few boxes to send over, all you have to do is choose a boy or a girl, age group 2-4, 5-9 or 10 to 14 years old, get your shoe box wrapped (box and lid separately).
To get your box to your chosen child please include €4 in an envelope taped to inside of your lid. Items allowed are – items for school pens, books etc – wash items soap, tooth brush and paste etc NO liquid – small clothing items hat, scarf, socks etc and don’t forget a treat toys, games, teddy, small torch or Maybe some sweets.
If anyone would like any more information or interested in sending a box call into Avoca Courthouse Heritage Centre. Every child deserves a gift at Christmas!!!
