Sinéad and all the team and residents at Dunlavin Nursing Home wish to thank everyone in the Dunlavin and surroundin­g areas for your wonderful support in their first year as their first anniversar­y approaches on November 28 next. CARWASH FOR CAMPHILL

Bring your car to DMB Autoworks on the Station Road, Dunlavin, on Saturday, November 18, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. All proceeds from the Carwash will go to Camphill Communitie­s of Ireland.

The 2017 Dunlavin Christmas Lights Ceremony will take place on December 2 at 6 p.m. at the Market House. Everyone welcome to come along to the mulled wine and mince pie reception and join the school choir for some carol singing.

CHRISTMAS FAIR

JIVE/WALTZ

Jive/Waltz Dance Classes will take place for four weeks starting November 6 at 7 p.m. in the Imaal Hall. Everyone welcome. No experience needed.

DAY CARE AGM

FARM SHOP

Cinderella Camphill Farmshop will now be open every Thursday 1 p.m. to 5.30 p.m., situated in the Barn on the Park Lane, Grangebeg.

TEEN SCENE

Dunlavin Teen Scene has recommence­d on Fridays in the Parish Centre from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will continue every Friday during school term for the year. We are affiliated with Foróige and offer young people in our community a safe place to socialise, try new things and develop their confidence.

The group is open to teenagers age 12-18 and allows young people to make friends and memories. Feel free to drop in any Friday evening and see what

The friendship club meet in the Parish Centre on Fridays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. All new members welcome. If you have a neighbour or relative that might benefit from the club please bring them along.

MUSIC LESSONS

Music lessons are ongoing in Donard National school on Thursdays at 8 p.m. – tin whistle, flute, fiddle, banjo, concertina, accordion. Beginners welcome.

TRAD SESSIONS

A slow Trad Music Session will take place in Meitheal Cafe on Wednesday, December 6, from seven to 8.30 p.m.

LINE DANCING

Line Dancing continues in the Imaal Hal on Wednesdays from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at a cost of only €6. New beginners are welcome, so come along learn a new skill and join the craic.

CLINIC

TD John Brady will hold a clinic in Dunlavin parish centre on the second Monday of each month

The senior citizens Christmas party is on Thursday, December 14, Hollywood Inn 3.30 p.m.

HOLLYWOOD BOWLS

The club bowl every Tuesday and Friday nights in the Hollywood Centre between 8.10 p.m. New Members’ are always welcome, so come along and see what it is all about, it is a great way to spend the winter nights.
