The family fun begins at 3 p.m. and runs until 6 p.m. with lots of music, special performances, carol singing, face painting and plenty of surprises on the day.

Santa’s arrival at 4.30 p.m. will be eagerly anticipated and this year the Christmas lights will be switched on by one local child.

On Sunday, there will be a Christmas family movie night in the RDA hall in Rathdrum at 5 p.m.

This is an opportunity for families to relax and enjoy a family favourite Christmas movie. Entry is €3 per child including a drink and snack and adults are free.

The Rathdrum Festival Committee would like to thank the volunteers, residents and business’ of Rathdrum and Arklow Municipal District Council for their continued support.

The Christmas lights are admired by locals and visitors and thanks to this support Rathdrum will continue to shine bright at Christmas for many years to come.
