CHRISTMAS BINGO

Christmas Fun Bingo will take place on in the Annamoe Centre on Sunday, December 10, from 3 p.m. with a surprise visit from Santa Clause. Family members including children and friends are more than welcome to attend. €5 per book and great raffle prizes. Come along and enjoy.

LUNCH CLUB

A reminder that the Active Retirement Christmas Lunch club will take place on Friday, December 8, in the Roundwood Inn at 1.30 p.m.

CODERDOJO

Coder Dojo is a global volunteer led community of free programmin­g clubs for young people. They learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, games and explore technology. LOURDES PILGRIMAGE

There will be a pilgrimage to Lourdes from Roundwood in September, 2018. Names and €200 deposit before January 15, 2018, to Susan at 087 6273032. A pilgrimage to Knock will be on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 8, 2018. More on both pilgrimage­s at a later date.

JUVENILE HANDBALL

SALE OF WORK

All roads lead to Aras An Tochar this Sunday for the Roundwood and Moneystown Sale of work from midday to 4 p.m. There’s something for everyone: beautiful festive flower arrangemen­ts, wheel of fortune, bottle stall, home produce, toy stall, books, face painting, birc a brac, roulette, carol singing, prizes of turkey, ham and Christmas cake.

Walk away with €1,000 or any of the many prizes on the grand raffle. Santa will also be there to meet all the local boys and girls... A great day out for all the family, so do come along.

CEILI DANCING LESSONS

Adult ceili dancing classes are held every Wednesday night in the parish hall from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. Learn to solo dance and also group dances under the tuition of Aoife, Cian and Eimear and have great fun learning.

MORNING BADMINTON

Tuesday morning badminton is back in full swing from 9.30 a.m. – beginners always welcome. Some rackets are available.

First for East/West were Noeleen Redmond and Margaret Bolger, second Ger Lenihan and Paddy O’Brien, joint third/fourth were Jane Cronin, Gertie Fee, Maura Gaskin and Bridie Nolan.

Phil Kenna and Liz Belton took first place for North/South on Friday, November 24, joint second/ third Monica Brady, June Digby, Nancy O’Brien and Catherine McGillycud­dy. John Loscher and Rowena Brady were first East/ West, second Marian Davies and Teresa Leahy and third Gertie Fee and Jane Cronin.

COMMUNITY GAMES

Roundwood Community Games AGM will take place Monday, December 4, in Kavanagh’s Lounge at 9 p.m. Community Games covers a wide range of events, with limited man power we only touch on a few. If you have a particular area of interest and would like to give some time please come along to the meeting. Our annual fundraisin­g bag pack is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, December 15 and 16, in Dunnes Stores, Newtown. We need full support from all parents to make this successful weekend. The monthly dance in Roundwood Parish Centre will take place on Friday, December 15, 9 p.m. midnight. with music by the Wicklow man. Refreshmen­ts served.

MATHS LESSONS

Rebecca Delamere will be running maths classes for Secondary School students in Roundwood Parish Hall. Classes will be available for first to sixth year students and are designed to focus on common areas that students struggle with. Guaranteed small class sizes and places are limited. MONEYSTOWN DANCE

WALKING CLUB

The Roundwood Whizzers Walking Group are back in action every Wednesday evening meeting at 7 p.m. at the Coach House car park. Everyone welcome to walk at your own pace for approximat­ely one hour in and around Roundwood village.

A 45 Card Game takes place every Tuesday night in Moneystown Community Centre starting at a new time of 8 p.m. for the winter. Tea served.

SET DANCING

Set dancing continues on Thursday nights in KAVANAGs lounge with an addition of giving jive lessons at 8.15 p.m. before our weekly session at no additional cost. Music this month by Michael and Brian.
