Neptune Bridge Club
North South: 1, Rita McNamara and Stasia Hagan 2. Mary Flynn and Claire Rountree (novice) 3. Eleanor O Flaherty and Lyla Doyle.
East West: 1. Brendan Flynn and Aodhan MacSuibhne 2. Rose Behan and Gertie Hallinan 3. Mary Doyle and Jacqui Farrell (both novice players). Thursday night is a draw so please come a bit earlier.
Abbey Bridge Club
The results from Monday, November 27 are: 1. Maura Kavanagh and Michael Gleeson 2. Clare Pippet and John Hopkins 3. Anthea Goodbody and Catherine Black. The last bridge before Christmas is December 18 when President Eric will present the Christmas prizes.
Wicklow Bridge Club
The results for the last two Club Nights are as follows: North/South 1st Eleanor O’Flaherty and Linda Saunders, 2nd Lyla Doyle and Aeda Walsh, 3rd Triona Woodrooofe and Jim McNamara. East/West Sandra Dunne and Carol Vambeck, 2nd Mary Flynn and Ann Hollingsworth, 3rd Fay Hipwell and Patricia Smyth.
November 28: North/South Maura Kavanagh and Joan D’Arcy. 2nd Gary Dowling and Sandra Dunne, 3rd Terry Byrne and Linda Saunders, East/West Aodhan MacSuibhne and Brendan Flynn, 2nd Rowena Brady and Peter McWalter, 3rd Fay Hipwell and Patricia Smyth. December 19 will be the Christmas Party night.
Royal Bridge Club
On Monday night last week Marian O’Shaughnessy and Pauline Earls were the clear overall winners. Leading from the first board they continued to extend that lead to eventual success with over 72 per cent. First North/South were Heather Sheane and Dolores Heatley with Una McGowan and Marie Sheane the successful East/West pairing.
In the Red room on Wednesday night Margaret Kelly and Rose Butler were the North/South winners while Jane Bradshaw and Dorothy Levingstone won East/West. In the Blue room the North/South winners were Evelyn Phillips and Joan McElhinney with Breda Heraty and Bridget Timmons second. East/West winners were Susan Hill and Mary McCarthy with Marian Byrne and Pauline Earls a close second.
Thursday North/South winners were Janet Andrews and Geraldine Kane with Sean Hollingsworth and Andy Bolger second. David Lavelle and Celine Healy were the East/West winners with Paddy O’Kelly and Frank Dunne second.
On Friday morning Cyril Goode and Joe Kelly had the narrowest of victories in North/South section over Maria Kerr and Rose Butler. East/West clear winners were Eric and Dorothy Levingstone with Jack McElhinney and Margaret Nevin second.
