Noah.

CUBA is a female, terrier mix and is aged about two years old. She is a lovely little dog who would be a great companion. She likes to call people over to try and get them to say hello to her.

Noah is a male, terrier mix who is aged about three years old. He is shy when meeting new people and needs people to take their time to get to know him but soon will be your best friend.

Both these dogs have been with us for a number of months and we would love to see them each with a family of their own which would be best start ever to a new year for them. They are two gorgeous dogs with great personalities.

If you can offer a loving home, contact the Wicklow SPCA at 0404 44783. A home vetting policy applies.

The opening hours are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4pm. and Sundays and bank holidays from 1.30 p.m. to 4 p.m. (closed Wednesdays). THE Wicklow branch of BirdWatch Ireland has organised an outing to the East Coast Nature Reserve for later in the month.

The outing on January 20 will also take in parts of the Newcastle coast. The mission is to find wintering wildfowl, waders, birds of prey, gulls and seabirds.

The meeting point will be at the main entrance to the reserve on the Newcastle Sea Road for 10 a.m..

Yesterday, Tuesday, January 9, the branch arranged a public talk by Richard Nairn at the Glenview Hotel. The presentation on ‘Dublin Bay: nature and history’ was based on Richard’s new book. Signed copies were also available on the night.
