WICKLOW Tennis Club Members and parents of junior members are reminded that the AGM takes place on Wednesday, January 24, at 8 p.m. in the clubhouse.

The Graded Mixed Doubles Tournament kicks off this week, with 76 members participating there promises to be lots of competitive play on the courts over the next four weeks.

Monday night social has now resumed and will continue each Monday at 7.30 p.m. so it is time to dust off the rackets and get back on the courts.

This is a great way for new members to get started or restarted with their tennis, entry is €4 to include, lights, prizes and refreshments.

Prior to Christmas, the club held its annual Cullen Butcher Turkey Tournament, with 120 members participating in the competition.

Maurice Kenny of Cullen’s Butchers sponsored the tournament and presented the prizes to the winning players.

Wicklow Tennis Club has had an enormous increase in membership in recent years and their various competitions and social activities have been expanded to cater for this increased membership and we are constantly adding new facilities.

Membership for 2018 is now open, entry forms are available on www.wicklowtennisclub.com or contact club administrator Sinéad Nolan for further information on (085) 1156051 or info@wicklowtennisclub.com.
