It was neck and neck all evening in one of the most exciting quiz nights witnessed this season. The event supported Ashford National School and Ashford Community Group.

Tonight, Wednesday February 7, all the action will take place in the Mariner in Wicklow with proceeds going to Colaiste Chill Mhantain and the Blue Dolphins.

The Wicklow committee of the Darkness Into Light met for the first time on Monday last in the local Colaiste Chill Mhantain school. Geraldine Mooney is the new chairperson assisted by last year’s chair Aileen Cawley. The committee will also be supported by Wicklow Lions Club.

This year’s event will take place on May 12, as usual at 4.15 a.m., and the biggest change for 2018 is that all registrations must be done online only and T-Shirts will be posted out to all participants.

The opening date for online registrations will be announced soon. Darkness Into Light is Pieta House’s flagship fundraising event, and allows them to continue to provide free counselling sessions for people in crisis.
