Congratulations to Lucy Dunne who is the county under-16 captain, a great honour.

Well done to the county footballers who earned a well-deserved draw in Antrim in the third round of the Allianz League on Sunday in Corrigan Park; especially our own Dean Healy, John Crowe and Conor Ffrench.

Hard luck to the county hurlers who were unlucky in the Kehoe Cup final in Pearse Park, Longford against Longford with the minimum between both sides in what was Longford’s maiden success in the tournament; especially our own John Connors, Gerry Connors, George O’Brien, Shane Doyle and Michael Connors.

Another disappointing weekend for the Wicklow ladies as their Ladies Division 4 League match away to Limerick has been called off due to a heavy fall of snow, following a walk over from Kilkenny the previous week.
