Arklow Community Games swimming competitions

THE Arklow Community Games swimming competition is now open to girls and boys resident in the Arklow area and under the age specified on July 31.

Competitors must be able to swim at least one length of pool.

Events: under-eight and over six – one length of pool freestyle; under-10 and over-eight – one length of pool freestyle; under-10 and over eight – one length of pool backstroke; under-12 and over 10 – two lengths of pool freestyle; under-12 and over 10 – two lengths of pool backstroke; under-12 and over 10 – two lengths of pool breaststroke; under-14 and over 12 – two lengths of pool freestyle; under-14 and over 12 – two lengths of pool backstroke; under-14 and over 12 – two lengths of pool breaststroke; under-14 and over 12 – two lengths of pool butterfly; under-16 and over 14 – two lengths of pool freestyle; under-16 and over 14 – two lengths of pool backstroke; under-16 and over 14 – two lengths of pool butterfly Relay events: under-13 and over 10 – Panel of six, four to swim with two subs – 4x1 length of pool freestyle; under-16 and over 13 – Panel of six, four to swim with two subs – 4x50 Medley backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle.
