SYMPATHY

A great sadness came over the village of Roundwood and extended community last week at the passing of Seán Kavanagh, Knockatemple. No words could describe the darkness that fell on our village and the support and sympathy that went out to his parents, Noel and Marie and to his brothers, Edward, Noelie, Gerard, Enda and Mikey and to all the Kavanagh family.

People were numbed at the passing of this wonderful boy whose life ended so prematurely. Huge crowds from far and near attended the house and the removal and the level of support was testimony to this lovely family who didn’t deserve what had been dealt to them. I know the community will continue to support them through the very difficult months and years ahead and try in some way to help ease their pain May Seán rest in peace and may he always be in the hearts of everyone that knew him.

‘God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be. So He wrapped his arms around you, and whispered, ‘come to me.’ You didn’t deserve what you went through, so He gave you rest. God’s garden must be beautiful, he only takes the best. And when I saw you sleeping, so peaceful and free from pain, I could not wish you back to suffer that again’.
