COMMUNITY GAMES

The closing date for Area Talent Competitio­ns is March 1 with all Solo and group competitio­ns for under-12 and under-16. The under-14 Area table quiz will be held on Friday, March 9, in St Mary’s Junior NS with a check in of 7.30 p.m., remember tables of four and spot prizes on the night.

For all of the above must register with Margaret Reid in advance at 045 867456 or 087 6535146 Just to note, Athletics training for the cross country events will be starting up shortly in Blessingto­n and the Area Track and Field Finals will be on May 7, the Bank Holiday Monday, in Hollywood GAA grounds. If you were not on the text list for this last year, please let Margaret know to add you.

Please remember you must be underage on July 31 of the current year and live in Hollywood/Valleymoun­t/Blessingto­n/ Kilbride/Lacken to be eligible to compete.

GOLF SOCIETY

Poulaphouc­a Golf Society are starting off 2018 with their first outing in the Royal Curragh on March 10. This outing is sponsored by SuperValu, Blessingto­n. If you are interested in plenty of fresh air, good exercise, pleasant company and of course fabulous golf please join us.

New members are very welcome. Time sheet available in Poulaphouc­a House from February 24.

SET DANCING

Set dancing continues each Thursday at 8 p.m. in the GAA centre. New dancers are always welcome.

TRADITIONA­L MUSIC

BADMINTON

Juvenile Badminton classes are back running Mondays 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesdays 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesdays 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. nights. Places still available for Monday nights for second and third class. Please contact Chloe Clarke for more details at 087 0613292.

KIDZ IN THEATRE

DANCE SCHOOL

HOLLYWOOD GAA

Hollywood Seniors kicked off their Div.1 league season with a win over Blessingto­n on Saturday, February 17, at Hollywood the final score was 1-10 to 0-9.

Hollywood GAA lotto results; There was no winner of the jackpot. Numbers drawn were 10, 11, 12 and 24. Sellers price free book was Brian O’Hara 116. Winners of the €50 was Rose Griffin online ticket, Brian O’Hara 116, Brian Flynn online ticket. Good luck to Hollywood GAA boys Robert Coyne, Ben O’Keeffe, Eoin Clarke and Ciaran Clarke, who represent Wicklow at the all-Ireland Scór na nÓg Quiz final in Sligo next weekend.

There will be a Child Welfare and registrati­on for Hollywood GAA Club Members on Sunday, February 25, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the clubhouse. Attendance at the Child Welfare Briefing is mandatory for all parents of Juvenile members.

Registrati­on will be held on the same day and membership rates are the same as last year. Parent or guardian must join with a juvenile (under-18) Family Membership can include both parents/ guardians and their own children (children under-18). Family membership can also be an adult Player with his own child/children who are under-18

St Kevin’s will also hold a cake sale on Saturday the 17th and Sunday, March 18, in Hollywood Centre after all Masses.

DOCTOR’S CLINIC

The Doctor’s Clinic will be held on the first and third Thursday of each month from 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.
