SHEEP SALES REPORT - TUESDAY FEBRUARY 27: 1,046 Sheep on offer. Trade similar to last week for all classes. Butcher Hoggets €120 to €126 or €71 to €78 over €/kg; Factory Hoggets €107 to €120 or €59 to €74 over €/kg; Store Hoggets €77 to €105 or €37 to €60 over €/kg; Fat Ewes €100 to €126 per head; Feeding Ewes €67 to €96 per head. €130 to €134 while the fleshed hoggets over 46kg sold in the region of €118 up to €126 the majority from €120 to €124. The lightest store hoggets on offer today selling from a base of €80 upwards with the majority of those 38kg to 42kg selling in the region of €88 up to €96 with some ewe hoggets up to €110.

No great change in the cast ewes. Younger feeding ewes from €20 with the kg with the aged ewes from €15 with the kg while the heaviest ewes today offered up to a tops of €135.

Ewes with lambs at foot younger ewes with a lamb and half at foot selling up to a tops of €190 while the aged ewes with lamb and half at foot selling from a base of €160 with some ewes with twins at foot up to a tops of €222.

On Tuesday March 6 we have 50 in-lamb ewes and also a special entry of 20 ewes with lambs at foot.
