Letter to the Editor County Wexford club grateful for Wicklow support

Dear Editor,

I write on behalf of Ferns St Aidan’s GAA Club in Co Wexford to sincerely thank all the people in Co Wicklow who supported our recent €20,000 Super Draw.

Our ticket sellers enjoyed a great response in the south and south-west of Co Wicklow in particular, in areas such as Arklow, Aughrim, Carnew, Tinahely, Shillelagh, Baltinglass and points in between.

Proceeds from the draw will enable us to pay for the completion of a new clubhouse at our grounds. We have regularly hosted Wicklow teams at our grounds in recent years, in challenge matches, Leinster League tournaments, and at underage level, and we look forward to welcoming them again in our new premises.

Our draw took place on Saturday, February 24. Unfortunately, we have no Co Wicklow winners to report, but I state again that we are immensely grateful of all the support we received there. Yours sincerely, Johnny Sinnott,
