St John’s SNS to launch Who Wants To Be A Thousandaire

-

ST John’s SNS will launch Who Wants to be a Thousandaire tonight (Wednesday) in Christy’s Pub at 8 p.m.

Run by Pallas Marketing, this is the school’s major fundraiser for the year.

The premise of the fundraiser is very similar to the hit television show ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’. Eight contestants will be randomly selected from the audience to be in with the chance to win €1,000, aided by their three life lines of 50/50, phone a friend and ask the audience.

‘The proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards the building of a new general purpose hall,’ said school principal Joy Loughlin.

‘We are delighted with the response from the local companies who have come on board as major exhibitors and advertisers. All exhibitors and advertisers will avail of on screen advertising at the show and will be promoted strongly by us on the night.

The show will be launched by local author Adele O’Neill and those in attendance will get a sneak preview of the show.

The show will be held on Friday, April 20, in the Arklow Bay Hotel and tickets, priced at €15, can be purchased from any committee member. There will be a discount for families or groups, with four tickets available for €50.

Tickets will be available from the night of the launch and are expected to sell out, so early purchase is advised. Ms Loughlin extended special thanks to the hard-working committee for all their help. Any company who wants to support the event can contact any committee member or email principal@stjohnsarklow.ie.
