DEBORAH COLEMAN REPORTS ON AN INTRIGUING NEW EXHIBITION IN ARKLOW

-

A NEW exhibition opened in the Arklow Visual Arts Gallery at Sunbeam House Services recently featuring the work of Bridie Farrell.

Entitled ‘Aeternum Patricius’, the exhibition came is a collaborative project between SHS, the gallery the artist herself. It explores the ancients’ fascination with the unknown universe and the monuments they built to honour their beliefs.

People from far and wide trudged through the snow for the launch of this SHS community arts project during which Bridie met Arklow Women’s Resource Group members and some of the service users who attend Sunbeam House to discuss up and coming art workshops that she will soon facilitate.

The aim of these workshops is to promote community integration.

Also present at the event were Cllr Pat Fitzgerald with Arklow Municipal District cathaoirleach Tommy Annesley and Marie Farrell senior service manager and Hugh Kane CEO of Sunbeam House.
