NEWTOWN JUNIORS

-

Unfortunately there weren’t many fixtures down for decision last weekend.

The only one, the under-9 Red’s Futsal final against St. Anthonys was cancelled due to the ‘Pest from the West’ or the ‘Son of the Beast’, or whatever it was called.

Heavy snow over the weekend left roads in a dangerous condition leading to the decision to cancel. The game will be refixed in the weeks ahead.

Also, well done to everyone who turned out to march with the club in the St. Patricks Day parade. In bitter cold all of you plus all the other club’s and organisations deserve a huge pat on the back.

The following are the fixtures for Sat.24th/ Sun.25th March 2018;

Under-8s at home to Rathnew Green, k.o. to be confirmed.

Under-9s at home to Enniskerry, k.o. to be confirmed.

Under-10s away to Glencormac Utd, k.o. Saturday at 12pm.

Under-11’s away to Arklow Town Red, k.o. to be confirmed.

Under-12s away to Ashford Rovers, k.o. to be confirmed (Cup 1st Leg).

Under-14s - Fixture to be confirmed.

(Fixtures and k.o. times are subject to change).

There will be no WDSL fixtures for the Easter weekend, but we will be entering teams in the annual Soccer Blitz in aid of Wicklow Cancer Support.

The Blitz is run by Tony Doran and his many supporters along with the Wicklow Town and Wicklow
