Nell Healy Awards

The Nell Healy People of the Year Awards return for a second time this year to acknowledge individuals and groups or organisations who have made a real difference to the community.

The awards are organised by Wicklow Rotary Club in association with Phil Healy’s Pub and were held for the first time last year.

The Nell Healy People of the Year Awards are named after the highly-respected Ellen Healy, who passed away just over four years ago. Nell was the backbone of Phil Healy’s for over 52 years and she always acknowledged the good deeds performed and the achievements of individuals in the community.

There are four categories in all: International Person of the Year Award, Young Person of the Year Award, Sport
