DRAMA GROUP NEWS

Coolgreany Amateur Dramatic Society is presenting its multi-award-winning production of ‘Death and the Maiden’ by Ariel Dofrman at Inch Hall this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, April 10, 11 and 12. The cast and production team recently did Coolgreany proud by qualifying for the all-Ireland Three Act Drama Finals with this production. The finals take place in Carnew next month.

The cast is Denise Moules, Eamonn O’Shiel and Richard Lister and the play is directed by Sally Stevens. Tickets for these shows, including tea, coffee and cake, are only €10 and are available from Coolgreany post office, by emailing coolgreany­drama@

Arklow Positive Ageing group will hold a day trip to Viking Splash and St Patrick’s Cathedral on April 22; on May 19 there will be a trip to Kilkenny Castle and then shopping; on May 31 they will travel to the Bloom Show and on July 31 it’s off to the Air Field House and garden and shopping in Dundrum.

Coolgreany Handball lotto now stands at €4,700, tickets are available in Jim Short’s, Coolgreany post office, O’Rafferty’s and Liam Clare Snr. A new prize format is now in place, with seven lucky dips worth €30 each and one Seller’s prize. There was no lucky-dip winner last week. Your support is very much appreciate­d.
