Sukhi’s Food Workshops

Learn how to cook healthy, tasty and easy Indian Food on a budget with Sukhi’s Food Demonstrat­ions.

The course runs for five weeks from Wednesday May 16 to Wednesday June 20 with a break on Wednesday, June 13. There is a morning (9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.) or evening (7 p.m. to 9 p.m.) option to choose from. The course will be held at An Tairseach Dominican Ecology Centre in Wicklow Town.

Each week Sukhi will demonstrat­e how to cook something different from a range of family recipes from the Punjab region in India. You will be invited to help with the preparatio­n and most importantl­y of course, the tasting. Each week you will receive a recipe card and an opportunit­y to buy the Indian ingredient­s direct from Sukhi at a 10 per cent discount.

Menu: Week one – Homemade chapatis. Learn how to make Indian bread stuffed with spiced potatoes, cheese, mince lamb or with a masala mix.

Week Two – Chicken and pepper curry and vegetarian option.

Week Three – Learn how to make paneer, a home made Indian cheese widely used as a vegetarian option in Punjabi cooking.

Week Four – Learn how to make homemade samosas, great for a dinner party or as a snack.

Week Five – Homemade pakoras, perfect as a finger food or a starter.

The cost is €100 for the five week course which includes the weekly recipe card and tasting. Small group size is guaranteed and places are limited.
