BIFE Graduate Show 2018 Opening Tuesday 22nd May 19.30 to 21.00 Exhibition remains on view until Friday 25th May
BRAY Institute of Further Education is pleased to present this year’s Graduate Show. The exhibition comprises work from all art and design courses representing the high quality of work produced by students who complete certificate and diploma courses at the college.
This year’s show comprises the Art Portfolio class displaying pages from their portfolios and exhibiting original paintings and drawings. The Fine Art class have curated a combination of first and second year 2D and 3D work, including an exciting site-specific piece, with which the public can interact. Art, Craft, Design students have explored personal themes to produce paintings, ceramic pieces and print work.
The exhibition continues with Garden Designers revealing the new area in the college enhanced by their designing, construction, and planting. Final year Fashion Designers are exhibiting their unique collections which they have designed and created, look out for first year costume pieces located throughout the exhibition. Furniture Designers are presenting a selection of project work including tables they designed and produced, and other pieces demonstrating accomplished of techniques such as woodturning. Mood boards displaying drawings and designs by the architecture students support the 3D models they have constructed. Finally interact with computer games created by the Games Development students.
Previous Art and Design graduates from BIFE have continued with further education at third level and are prevalent in all art and design fields.
BIFE Graduate Show 2018 is exhibiting 10.00-16.00 Wednesday 23rd, 10.00-21.00 Thursday 24th May and 10.00-13.00 Friday 25th May. There will also be on Open Evening on Thursday 24th from 7pm to 9pm where prospective students can meet the teachers and view the fabulous teachers.
BIFE offers relevant courses to art and design students and aims to develop the necessary knowledge, commitment and creative skills for students to engage in a rapidly changing global culture.
