Two wins from two for talented Wicklow Minor hurlers

-

at Feneagh COE 1-21 1-10

before Carlow got one of their own.

The Carlow forwards seemed to be dominating for the majority of the first half but the bravery of the Wicklow men proved too much as they did enough to hold out the strong attacking forward lines from the home team.

The delivery of ball to the Wicklow forwards was the key throughout the game, making use of the speedy inside line.

At the break, the Wicklow hurlers led the home side by 0-12 to 0-6.

Some questionable refereeing decisions began to frustrate the blues, allowing the Carlow men to get the upper hand for a brief period.

But some fantastic individual performances across the field raised the hearts of these young men who finished strong on a score of Wicklow 1-21, Carlow 1-10.

Bray Emmets’ Rory Lambe picked up the Man of the Match award after a superb display throughout.
