BALLYMANUS

-

Well done to Mark and the rest of the Wicklow lads on their victory over Offaly in the opening round of the Leinster Championship.

Mark put in a stellar performance, getting important scores when most needed. He will certainly be a welcome addition back to the Gap as the lads have had a few weeks to forget on the field of play suffering defeats to Newtown, Stratford and Barndarrig on the bounce.

To be fair there were a lot of injuries and others unavailable also for one reason or the next.

Hopefully with these returning, we can get back on track in time for championship.

The juveniles hosted an under-7s and under-9s blitz last week with teams from Shillelagh, Tinahely, and Aughrim all showing their wares. Well done all involved.

Off the field, the club would like to thank everyone for their support at our recent race night on May 6, in particular all who bought and sold horses and our very generous sponsors listed below.

The night was a huge success and we appreciate very much the community support. ROADSTONE, Wagon Wheels, Anthony Darcy Limited, Doyle’s Pub Ballinglen, Gerry Keogh, The Corner Pub Hacketstown , Glenmalure Lodge, O’Neill and Flanagan, Eugene O’Brien Contracting Limited, Woodfab Timber, Woodside Nurseries, The Saltee Annacurra, Sean O’Neill Transport, Lambert’s Hardware, Declan O’Brien Construction Limited, Knockananna Youth Project, Sean and Mary Byrne, Sean Murphy Butchers, Arthur Kennedy Chemist, Super Valu Hacketstown, Murphys Hotel Tinahely, Tom McDonald Ltd, O’Connor’s Tinahely, Jacob’s Pub, Herbst Aughrim, Kinsella Estates, Quinn Property, Van Der Wells Nurseries, O’Reilly Service Station.

Finally, there was no lotto jackpot winner last week from 4, 7, 17, and 28. Match three winners were Fiona Vieira, Tom Tallon, Johnny and Nathan; Noel O’Neill; Billy Moules; and the Stapleton grandchildren.
