Severe disruption for Dart users due to fire

- By SARA GAHAN

DART COMMUTERS are continuing to experience severe disruption this week following a fire at Daly Station last Friday.

While a limited service is operating in and out of Bray, there are no services at all between Bray and Greystones.

Passengers arriving at both Bray and Greystones train stations on Saturday morning found that all services were suspended for the weekend after a fire in a signalling relay room at the Bray station caused significant damage to signalling equipment on Friday night.

No services will operate between Greystones and Bray until Friday, May 25, at the earliest. There will be limited bus transfers between Greystones and Bray for DART services. The bus transfers between Greystones and Bray/Dun Laoghaire/Dublin Connolly will only be provided for services between Rosslare Europort/Wexford and Dublin Connolly.

A reduced service is operating from Bray in morning peak, travelling every 30 minutes, with reduced capacity and a 30 minute journey time between Bray and Dalkey. This will result in reduced capacity overall for those travelling to or from stations south of Dalkey. The morning peak services begin at 6.30 a.m. and leave on the half-hour, with the last peak service departing Bray at 8.30 a.m. All southbound Dart services will terminate at Dalkey during the morning peak.

There will also be a reduced service from Dalkey to Bray during the evening peak.
