PADDY GIG TO BE A BOOST FOR TIGLIN
PADDY CASEY, Declan O’Rourke and Lisa Loughrey will play a concert in aid of Tiglin in Greystones on Thursday, June 28.
The event, in association with Temple Carrig Secondary School, will start with a food market and bar from 6.30 p.m. with the concert starting at 8 p.m.
Tickets are €25 and all proceeds go to homeless and addiction charity Tiglin.
‘We are looking forward to coming to Greystones,’ said Paddy. ‘I’ve met a few people who have been helped by Tiglin so I’m glad to be a part of something that will help beat addiction and homelessness.’
Tiglin CEO and Greystones local Phil Thompson said: ‘We are really grateful to Temple Carrig for making this happen! It is fantastic that Paddy Casey has offered to do this gig with his good friend Declan O’Rourke and their fellow folk singer Lisa Loughrey, it is very generous of them all. Rock, folk and soul music from the trio will have Greystones hopping on June 28.’
Temple Carrig principal Alan Cox said that the school has enjoyed working with Tiglin this year. ‘It is a partnership that has benefited both sides and has really raised awareness within our student body about homelessness and addiction. We look forward to working with them for many years and are delighted to be hosting this concert. It will be great to be able to share our schools facilities with the community for such a great cause.’
