Live at the Abbey will be full of music and fun
WICKLOW Town is the place to be on Saturday, June 30 for a fun filled day.
The day’s activities start with a visit to Wicklow Harbour to view all the fantastic boats getting ready to take part in the Volvo Round Ireland Yacht Race which leaves from Wicklow harbour at 2 p.m.
After that there is a great programme of family entertainment organised by the Wicklow Sailing Club up at the Black Castle which will run until 5 p.m.
At 5 p.m. the Taste of Wicklow kicks off with live music at the historic Abbey Grounds. This is a great new outdoor music festival, Live At The Abbey, with some of the most exciting acts in the country including local Wicklow town band Look to the Lady, Greystones based Music Generation, Xquisite Dance who were runners up in Ireland’s Got Talent and Caffolla and Engel.
The headline act Seo Linn have recently returned from a tour of Australia and have played Ireland’s top venues.
Tickets at the gate will cost €10 per person
The live music at the Abbey Grounds runs from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and promises to be a fantastic evening of entertainment. There will be ten food stalls and a full bar.
