ST MARY’S CHURCH

Celebrator­y Mass for Sacramenta­l recipients: All those who received the Sacraments of baptism, First Holy Communion and Confirmati­on in the parish in the past year are invited to a special Celebrator­y Mass at 11 a.m. in St Mary’s Parish Church this Sunday. Those, who received baptism and First Holy Communion are invited to carry white balloons and those who received Confirmati­on to carry red balloons. Weather permitting, there will be a party on the lawn after Mass and the balloons will be released into the air.

The next event of interest for members is tonight’s (Wednesday) 7 p.m. walk by Colin Scudds of the Dun Laoghaire Borough Historical Society, who will lead members and friends of the Dun Laoghaire Borough Historical Society on a Historic Walk from Kelly’s Avenue, George’s Place, and the Municipal Buildings, Dun Laoghaire’. This service operates in Enniskerry and Kilmacanog­ue and delivers hot meals every Tuesday and Thursday to older people in their homes. It’s an opportunit­y to connect with the community and provide a hot meal and social contact call to older people in the area. We are looking for volunteer drivers who can give up two or three hours twice a month to facilitate this much needed service. Elevation School of Performing Arts summer camp will be held in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh on the July 9 to July 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. For ages four years plus, all levels and abilities. Activities include drama, modern dance, street dance, ballet, games, arts and crafts, costume and prop making.
