Congratulations to AGB’s Féile team who represented both AGB and Wicklow over the weekend in Féile 2018.

The boys, their management, families and supporters all travelled in convoy to Castlewellan, Co Down for an action packed weekend of football.

A strong win in the first match, and a narrow one point defeat in the second match on the Friday evening saw the AGB team qualify for the quarter finals on Saturday morning.

The boys played a great game of football but were pipped at the post by a goal in the final minutes of their quarter-final.

Well done all the boys and their management on such a great achievement, all at AGB are very proud of their hard working efforts.

A special thank you to all the hosts in Castlewellan GAA club, a great time was had by all the team.

A tough match was played out where both teams really pushed themselves on. A final score saw both teams finish level 1-12 to 1-12. This draw means AGB will face Tinahely on Thursday evening in Joule Park, Aughrim, at 8pm in the Division 1A League final. Wishing the team and their management the very best of luck.

AGB’s under-11 boys both had great matches on Wednesday evening in the sunshine, although neither score reflected the efforts of both teams, excellent football was on display.

AGB’s under-14 girls had a tough encounter with Coolkenno and after a hard match they were unfortunate to finish with a loss which knocked them from leading in their league table.
