A massive well done to our under-12 girls who made the long journey over the gap last night playing in 25 degree heat.

They put in a great team performance beating St Nicks 6-13 to 1-04. At the start of the season we only had five girls who played competive games, bringing up extra girls from under-10 to make up a team.

Now we are potential Division 2 league winners. Hard to single out anyone as every girl played 110 per cent, but Clara Earls made crucial saves early on setting the standard.

Our under-10 players, Millie Armstrong, Holly Doyle and Jessica Quinn all playing blinders, also to Ria Gregory and Sophie Murphy mentioned on many occasions by numerous referees for their great skill.

Keep it going all of you.

A big shout out to the super under-15 team. Another brilliant win for the lads away to Eire Og during the week. Playing with only 13 players they had a very poor start but eventually got going in the second half to win 5-6 to 2-10. When they pull together and work hard for each other they really can play some great football. Next match home to Baltinglass in two weeks. Thanks to the 13 lads who gave it everything on the night.

On Thursday, our Senior team took on our neighbours St.Patricks in the Dunne Cup on a gorgeous evening in Merrymeeting We came out on top on a scoreline of 1-12 to 0-9
