Division 1 – Seniors are up against Newtown on Saturday at 5pm in Joule Park, Aughrim.

Division 4 League Final – Hard luck to the lads in the Division 4 league final on Monday, July 16, in Aughrim. Tinahely won by the smallest of margins. Tinahely 3-7, Blessingto­n 1-12.

Junior B – The Junior B football championsh­ip starts at home on Thursday, Blessingto­n v An Tochar at 7.30pm.

Junior C - Junior C football championsh­ip away v AGB in Pearse’s Park, Arklow, on Friday, July 27, at 7.30pm.

Wicklow Ladies – Well done to the Wicklow ladies especially our own Kim Connors who beat Offaly on Sunday, July 22, on a scoreline Wicklow 3-15, Offaly 2-11. The ladies are now in the quarter-final. Well done to Mick O’Rourke and his management team.

Blessingto­n GAA Ladies 25 Anniversar­y Celebratio­ns - Our Ladies 25-Year Celebratio­ns is only a few weeks away on Saturday, August 25. We have an action-packed day not to be missed. All welcome, we look forward to seeing old and new friends of the club, past and present players and management and the wider community. Come along and join in the craic of this wonderful occasion.

Senior Ladies – Ladies are away to Sarsfields on Wednesday, July 25, at 8pm.

Under-16 girls – Under-16 girls white at home v Clan na Gael on Tuesday, July 24, at 7.30pm.

Under-8 girls – Under-8 and under-10 blitz in Carnew on Saturday, July 28, at 10.30am.

Wicklow Under-16s - Wicklow’s under-16 footballer­s drew with Wexford in Joule Park, Aughrim on July 18, 1-16 to 3-10, in the second round of the Gerry Reilly Leinster GAA Championsh­ip. Well done to our club member Jake O’Kelly. This result now leaves Wicklow needing to defeat Laois in their last group game in order to qualify for the semi-finals.

Under-11s – On Thursday, July 20, the Red squad had a reschedule­d fixture away to Fergal Óg.

With most of 2008 kids not available a couple of under-9 players Cormac and Fiacha travelled with us (thanks lads).

The lads played really well and attacked the game from the off and finished up easy winners. Well done to players/ coaches and parents for travelling on a Friday evening.

On Wednesday, the under-11 Red team are away v Baltinglas­s 2 at 7.15pm. Also on Wednesday, our under-11 Blessingto­n Blue v An Tochar at home at 7.15pm. Also Blessingto­n White away v Eire Og at 7.15pm.

Under-9s - Under-9s travelled to Vallymount on Saturday morning, July 21, to play in the Go Games. We played Hollywood, Vallymount and Kilbride/Lacken. The lads put in a super mornings football with all their skills on show

Under-7s – We travelled to Ballinakil­l for the Wicklow Go Games monster blitz on Saturday, July 21.

Even though we had a lot of kids unavailabl­e due to the time of year we still had 11 players that travelled out and put in great performanc­es in our three games. We won two games and lost our last game to a very good Avondale side. All players played excellent and we definitely unearthed a future Blesso captain. Thank you to all parents who made the journey out your support is very appreciate­d. Hurling

Under-11s – Western Gaels v Éire Óg 3 at the pitch on Friday at 7.15pm.

Kelloggs Cl Camps – The Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camp programme continues July 23 - July 27. This is a dual Cúl Camp – Hurling and Football.

A lovely Wednesday evening was had in the complex acknowledg­ing our four club players on the county Minor team- we are all very proud of you Zach, Torna, Kevin and Shane.

The kids enjoyed having you part of their training tonight...watch this space for some future county stars!

Another good win Wednesday night for our under-11 hurlers, We were playing kilmac at home, unfortunat­ely Kilmac didn travel with full squad so we got the points before game started we gave them a few of our lads for first half and changed them around at half time and ended up making a cracking game out of it.

So thanks to the players who lined out for Kilmac it meant we got a full game of hurling for 15 of our lads that turned up tonight which was great.

Panel was as follows: James Turner, Tyler O’Neill, Bobby Dease, Shane Kennedy, Jake Nolan, Tiarnan Byrne Cahill, Cameron Byrne, Tyler Byrne, Joe Jacob, Adam Kearns, Leighton Gahan, Calaem Nagle, Alex Kavanagh, Kevin Murphy, William Mullally, Great numbers, Great result, Well done all.

Well done to the under-9 footballer­s who played some excellent football in slippery conditions in Bray Emmets Friday evening. Their attitude and how they performed was a joy to watch. We played Newtown, Ballinacor, and Bray.

Keep up the good work, guys! Well done to all our under-7 footballer­s who played in the Go Games blitz in Ballinakil­l Saturday afternoon. There was some great kick passing, tackling and some excellent saves from the keepers and there was plenty of good scoring.

The panel was Will Phelan, Tyler Kavanagh, Eoghan Doyle, Enda Dechaine, Josh Porter, Finn Keogh, Aidan Kelly, Callan Keogh, Lucas Byrne Cahill, Ollie Evans and Daniel Stadkevici­us.

The GAA Cúl Camps in Avondale this year is on from August 13 to the 17. Camps run from 10am to 2.30am.

Closing date to register is noon on Friday, August 10, and you must register online as you cannot register on the morning of the Cúl Camps.
