GOLF CLASSIC
This Friday (24th), the Bobby Messett Memorial golf classic will take place in Charlesland Golf Club. This will be a relaxed 4-member Scramble and is at a cost of €240 per team which includes Green fees, Prizes and a meal after in Plucks with music on the night. Charlesland Golf Club have been most generous with Green fees, Plucks have once again been excellent in their support and of course, everyone has been most generous to date so hopefully the weather will be kind on the day. Presentaion and music in Plucks from 9 p.m.
GAA CHAMPIONSHIP
The fourth round of the championship takes place this Sunday when Kilmacanogue take on Ballinacor. Throw in is at 5 p.m. in Pearse Park in Arklow and support for the team would be welcomed. The win over Dunlavin has given the team a good chance of reaching the quarter finals but the lads know there can be no more slip ups in their final two games.
CÚL CAMP
A great week was had by all the Kilmac junior stars at their annual GAA Cúl Camp in Fitzsimmons Pak last week. The rain held off for most of it and everyone enjoyed the week. Michael Prendergast won ‘Boy of the Camp’ with Aisling Meehan taking the ‘Girl of the Camp’ trophy. Well done to everyone including the coaches and volunteers.
KING MEMORIAL MATCH
The annual Patrick and Fiona King Memorial match took place at Ryders Field last Saturday night. Once again, the game featured friends that played with Patrick on both the Glencormac United and St Fergal’s teams and after a crazy 90 minutes which finished 7-7, Fergals won on penalties.
There was a raffle held after in the Wild Goose in Bray with Lorraine Carr scooping the top prize of a pair of signed Katie Taylor Boxing Gloves with all proceeds going to Pieta House in the region of €1,500 so massive thanks to everyone.

DRAMA SCHOOL
Drama classes starting back on week of September 12. Drama is a fantastic way of developing confidence and encouraging creativity and imagination. Drama modules will incorporate improvisation, mime, script work, vocal training and acting skills. Students will also learn from the Irish Board of Speech and Drama syllabus and be afforded opportunities to take graded examinations under a fully qualified teacher. Elevation holds a 100% pass rate in IBSD examinations. Elevation Drama Junior (5.45 p.m. to 6.45 p.m.) is held at the Brockagh Centre. Contact Kate at 086 8256775.
DANCE SCHOOL
A free five-week digital skills computer course will be starting in the autumn, two hours one day a week. Topics covered include online banking, apps, online government services, email, shopping online, photographs, podcasts, TV players, social media and much more.
