Now that Laragh Community First Responder Group have a Public Access Defibrillator installed at Willie McCoy’s shop, the group have been having information evenings over the past number of months.

A certified CFR training course will be held in the Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Centre on September 15 at 10 a.m. for all who are interested in being a Public Responder.

A lot of people attended the information sessions and this training will certify anyone whose interested in making a difference to a person in need. If you would like to attend the training please contact any of the Laragh Community First Responder Group or Sheila Kavanagh at 087 2121522. wood Parish Hall and Community Centre on Monday mornings.

The classes will provide basic steps to get you on your way and for Improvers to develop their skills.

The morning classes are from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and will run from September 24 to December 3. It costs €12 per class and booking is essential as places are limited. Contact Gill on 087 2525216 or gillmac27@gmail.com.
