Entries open for mixed doubles tournament

THE next big event taking place at Wicklow Tennis Club will be the Augustus Cullen Law Autumn Cup 2018.

This very popular mixed doubles event, kindly sponsored by Augustus Cullen Law, is now in its 11th year and will run over one week commencing on Monday, September 17.

Simply enter your name and the tournament committee will select a partner for you. The format is round robin with matches taking place on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with the finals being held on Friday, September 21. You will be required to play one night only but you must also be available to play on Friday’s final night.

There will be no Social Tennis on Monday, September 17 and it is hoped all club players will be entered into this very sociable competition.

The entry fee is just €10 which includes lights on the night of your games, refreshments after and a lovely hot supper on finals nights.

If you are new to the club and have not played in a competition before why not make this your first one.

The club would really like to see new members participate and enjoy this event as well as supporting the very generous sponsor Augustus Cullen Law whose representatives will be here on finals night to present the prizes.
