saw the under-12Bs go down 3-0 at home to Sporting Greystones.

The lads didn’t get going in this game but battled right to the final whistle.

The 13Bs narrowly lost out 1-0 away to league leaders Aughrim. In a tightly contested game the home side probably just about deserved the three points.

The 14Bs proved football is a funny old game when they recorded a 7-1 away win over Roundwood, they had lost to the same opposition 5-1 at home three days prior to this game.

Tom Farrelly and James Fagan both scored two each with Zach Harris, Robert Cherry and Ruadhrai Kelly adding one a piece.

On Thursday night the under-11s played out 1-1 draw with Ashford Rovers under-11s in the Under-12 Premier League.

In a closely fought encounter Steven Kavanagh scored the Rovers goal to earn them a share of the spoils.

Saturday’s action saw the under-11 green team earn a great 3-1 away win over St Anthonys in the Under-12 Premier League.

A brace from the excellent Steven Kavanagh and a single from Conor Williams helped them come back from a goal down to claim all three points.

The 12Bs went down 2-1 away to St Patricks in a close encounter, Bren Doyle netted for Rovers in a game in which the lads could have got something from.

Our 13As recorded an excellent 2-0 victory over fellow table toppers and previously unbeaten Marks Celtic at Whitegates.

Oscar Malcolmson and Keelan Darcy netted the all important goals for Rovers as they move three points clear of their opponents with a game more played.

This was an excellent result for the lads in what was a fantastic all round team display.

The 15As consolidated their position at the head of the DDSL Saturday A league when they defeated Wayside Celtic 4-1 at Whitegates.

A double from Ross Quinn led the way with Ryan Kavanagh and Adam O’Reilly hitting one each to earn them three valuable points.

On Sunday, our 13Bs edged out local neighbours Rathnew in a 3-2 thriller.

This was an excellent game with both sides playing their part. Ruairi Jenkinson fired in two well taken goals with Adam Byrne adding the third.

Well done to both teams on serving up an entertaining game of football.

The 15Bs played out a scoreless draw with Arklow Celtic at Whitegates, as 0-0 draws go this proved to be a cracking game with both sides playing their part. Rovers just about shaded the possession stakes but just couldn’t get that elusive goal.

Once again we request all our managers and teams not to be moving the main goalposts on the Rocky Road, it has come to our attention that this is happening and the goalposts are then been left around the ground.

The posts are staked down in position for match day so for safety reasons please do not move the goalposts, thank you.

Everyone at Wicklow Rovers AFC would like to extend their sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Reverend Canon Thomas Robert Jennings of Newcastle who sadly passed away recently.
