PERFORMING ART CLASSES

The successful and long-established Stagebratz starz are excited to bring their well-renowned theatre classes to Glenealy Village Hall. Offering jam-packed weekly classes of singing, dancing, Acting and musical Theatre for four – 17 years, there is something to appeal to everyone. With shows, Performances and competitions each year, we focus on bringing out the confidence and love of the stage in every little star.

GAA BINGO

NEW PILATES CLASSES

There is new Pilates class starting in Glenealy Village Hall on Tuesday evenings starting September 11 from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Friday mornings starting Friday, September 14, from 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. Beginners/improvers and all ages welcome.

Seven classes for €70 or dropin-rate €12. Pilates strengthens core muscles, improves muscle control, flexibility, co-ordination, strength and tone, as well as alignment and breathing. To book your place contact Zara Elkinson at 087 9367474. Like on Facebook to keep up to date at pilates with Zara.

TODDLERS HAVEN

CARD DRIVE

Whist card drive will be on in Glenealy village hall this Thursday, September 13, and 45 card drive will be the following Thursday, September 20; both nights at 8.30 p.m. New players always welcome.

FOROIGE YOUTH CLUB

Glenealy Foróige youth club is back in Glenealy Village hall every Friday night from 8 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. for youths aged 12 years to 18 years. Anyone interested can come along any Friday night for more information contact 0404 44040.

GLENEALY IT CENTRE

INTRODUCTION TO FILM PRODUCTION COURSE – Glenealy IT Centre are pleased to announce an innovative and creative QQI accredited course where participants will gain hands on practical experience in various aspects of filmmaking as a pathway to employment in the film sector – incorporating workshops in Cinematography, Scripting, Lighting, Set-Design, Camera, Audio, Acting OnScreen, Editing, Storyboarding and all aspects of film. Criteria: Over 18 and unemployed. Commencing October 3. This is a part time course (2.5 days per week) for 22 weeks. ORGANIC HORTICULTURE COURSE QQI L5 – Part-Time Training Course 32 weeks (2.5 days per week) Ideal opportunity of a funded training programme aimed at individuals with an interest in gaining a recognised qualification and employment in Organic Horticulture/Gardening. Participants will develop skills which will equip them to function in a horticulture/gardening business environment. Participants in this programme may seek employment or self-employment locally in Wicklow in landscaping, garden maintenance and organic vegetable production. Contact 0404 44980.
