Hospice Walk
Wicklow Hospice Ireland’s Ancient Wast walk from Glendalough to Glenmalure returns on Sunday, September 23.
The walk will start in the medieval monastic site of Glendalough. As participants leave The City of the Seven Churches they will take in breath-taking views of the Wicklow Mountains before descending into Glenmalure, another magnificent glacial valley and home to the history of the rebel chieftains.
While walking through some of County Wicklow’s most breathtaking scenery, walkers will also be supporting Wicklow Hospice.
Since its infancy there has been and continues to be a massive interconnection between community support and hospice fundraising. This is now clearly visible as the 15-bedroom hospice is under way, with a completion date of end of 2019.
The organisers are delighted to announce that the Arklow Credit Union is the main sponsor and thank them for their generous help and support on this memorable walk.

Without past members it would not be possible to celebrate 50 years so organisers would love to celebrate with as many as possible. It’s a chance to catch up with members old and meet members new and see how Scouting has changed over the years. No need to book, just turn up. Email 7thwicklowscouts@gmail.com with any queries.
