Ladies finals day promises super football

-

SATURDAY afternoon sees a diary packed full of footballing action in Joule Park Aughrim when the Senior, Intermediate and Junior football fials come up for decision.

Three very interesting battles are scheduled to take place with the action getting underway at noon with for the meeting of Valleymount and St Patrick’s in the Intermediate decider.

This has all the hallmarks of a fierce battle with St Pat’s overcoming Tinahely in their semi-final and Valleymount scraping past St Nicholas in a belter of a semi-final to secure their spot in this final.

The middle game of a busy afternoon sees the goalscoring women of Éire Óg come up against An Tochar in the Junior final.

Another epic battle awaits here. Éire Óg got past Baltinglass after a shott-out at Laragh while An Tochar took care of the AGB challenge in their semi-final.

And then the big one at 4pm. Can Tinahely be stopped? Is the team with the best chance of stopping them in the final?

The answer to the second question is yes.

The answer to the first remains to be seen.

Intermediate final at 12pm: Valleymount v St. Patrick’s

Junior final at 2pm: An Tochar v Éire Óg

Senior final at 4pm: St. Patrick’s v Tinahely.
