TRANSITION YEAR NEWS
This week has been another busy on for our TY’s culminating in their Thursday trip to the National Ploughing Championships. It proved to be a long, wet but very enjoyable day. Read this column next week for a student account of the day with all its ups and downs.
Our Adventure sports group enjoyed two great days climbing, with one tackling the wall up at UCD and the other testing the real thing down at Black Castle in Wicklow. Mr Gargan had his adventure race group dripping with sweat after his skip rope workout and the Bake off crowd wowed with brown bread and chutney.
Elsewhere the history team have started researching their family history using the Irish census data and we caped the week off with an really interesting talk from a US Army Colonel, who regained us with tales from his global adventures, from the White House to Afghanistan and back. How will we top this next week?
